New Year's 2009/New Beginnings

Hello my wonderful family out there in Utah and Arkansas. Well, 2008 is almost over. I plan on doing the New Year's Eve sweat again this year. I feel in me bones this next year is going to be different for me, have goals already set up to get financially stable, enough to buy a house...I will keep ya posted on that score...I will add more to this at a later date, with pics but at least wanted to get something else on this blog before the old year was over and the new one in. Love to all my family everywhere....:-)

Christmas Time in the Mountains

It is Sunday, late pm, me and my friend, Denise are out by the lodge, she is getting ready to take off for Willow Creek(which is near Weaverville). It is supposed to snow for the next 4 days. We had our Christmas party up at Stewart Springs, I will put pictures of that in here later. I have been sick for the last week. Didn't sweat yesterday but did go to the party. I drove and when I got past the gate, truck started to spin, sooooooo....got out to unlock the hubs and engage the gears, or whatever you do(not very mechanical here people) and back tires kept spinning and spinning, had a friend look at it to see what was wrong, even he couldn't get it to lock in, kick the damn thing! LOL! but seriously, I was sooooo darn nervous, he went ahead and backed it all the way down and out the gate and got it turned around so I could drive it home....got home safe and sound...kiss mother earth...kiss, kiss....ha! Anyway that is about it....I will put other pics on here later...but wanted to put some of the ones with the first snow of the season.....

Holiday Season

Here is a picture across the street from where I work. It was taken a couple of weeks ago.. We haven't had any snow yet this year, last year we had a lot of snow, especially when Kelly came out to visit me in December of 2007.

This picture was taken in Feb of 2008, so maybe we will get snow after all. I didn't have 4 wheel drive then. I think alot of my family that have gone before me and when I was little and when my kids were little. All good things...and now my kids have kids of their own and making their memories...
POSTSCRIPT: THIS WAS WRITTEN A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND FORGOT TO PUBLISH...AM I BAD OR WHAT....;-)

CHRISTMAS TIME IN MOUNT SHASTA

WELL, HERE WE ARE ANOTHER YEAR GONE BY, ALMOST. SO MANY PARTIES TO GO TO, CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONES TO GO TO; I KNOW I WILL BE GOING TO MY ANNUAL WORK CHRISTMAS PARTY WHICH IS TOMORROW, NEXT WEEK WE ARE HAVING OUR PURIFICATION (SWEAT) LODGE FAMILY CHRISTMAS PARTY(THAT IS SOMETHING NEW, BUT NICE) AND THEN OUR RED HAT CHRISTMAS PARTY ON SUNDAY, AND THENNNNNN......THE END OF THE YEAR PURIFICATION CEREMONY, ALL GOOD....SPOKE WITH KELLY LAST NIGHT AND SHE WAS ACCEPTED INTO THE RN NURSING PROGRAM...WONDERFUL, SO PROUD....AND FROM WHAT SHE TELLS ME HER AND JORDAN AND HIS FAMILY ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND IN CALIFORNIA, THAT SHOULD BE FUN....I HAVE TO LOOK INTO THAT ARCHEOLOGY CLASS TO SEE IF IT WILL BE A GO OR NOT. IF THEY DON'T GET ENOUGH STUDENTS, THEY DON'T HAVE THE CLASS AFTER ALL....WOULD MUCH RATHER HAVE A HANDS ON CLASS, INSTEAD OF AN ONLINE CLASS....
